I need a steam hair straightener, a hair straightener that’s actually good for the hair. I’d really like the ionic type with ceramic or tourmaline plates but anything healthy for the hair and a great price would be great. For curlers I know the right brands, for steam straighteners I really don’t.

I know that we are supposed to use heat protectant spray before using hair straightener, but I also read that we should not use straightener on wet hair. Am I supposed to wait till the hair is dry again after using heat protectant spray?

Also, any recommendations on protectant spray? I have very wavy and frizzy hair.
